Q98 Pipe
The Q98 is the pipe of choice for most stock reed engine applications. The Q98 power band has tremendous mid range and top end. The normal tunable head pipe length is 9 to 9 3/4". Top RPM will vary depending on the application but generally on a speedway track, gear for 15,700 to 16,400. On sprint applications 18,000 with a short head pipe is not out of its RPM capabilities. Clutch engagement is 10,800 to 11,000 at short head pipe lengths and 11,000 to 11,200 at longer head pipe lengths.
